Green oat stalk (avena sativa herba)

The green stalk of oats has a beneficial effect on the nervous system, as well as for rapid recovery after severe illnesses. It cleanses the body very well from toxins.

It is harvested at the milky maturity of the seeds , about 15 – 20 cm from the top. It is extremely difficult to dry. Initially in strong solar heat then dries out in the shade. If the special drying technology is not followed, the harvested stalks turn yellow and its cost value decreases. Harvest period late June , early July.

Our story :

The idea for this venture came spontaneously. Our old partner asked us if it was possible to supply this raw material. From the beginning the surprise was great. I was happy to accept this new challenge, especially because it concerned organic raw material. I had certified fields and the experiment began. The most difficult moments were related to the hand weeding of 12 acres of oats and its antique harvesting. All these processes required a lot of manual labor. The first year there was a good harvest, but during drying the oats turned yellow. This made me even more ambitious to prove our abilities. After the second year we started to produce the perfect green stalk of hand-harvested oats at milky maturity, dried GREEN. We signed a long term supply contract.
